Martin Creed - Down Over Up

'Down Over Up' at the Fruitmarket gallery consisted of recent and newly comissioned work by Creed. Focusing on stacking, the work mainly consisted of an ordering of materials into size, weight and colour with visible process having a precedent.

The title of the show took its name from the stair case in the gallery which Creed turned into a synthesizer. Each step sounds a different note in a scale, ascending in tone as your go up the stairs and descending as you go down.
